Had our third dr. appointment today. Got the results of those blood tests back and everything is fine. Nothing to worry about. :) That's definitely a relief. I wasn't really worrying, but in the back of my head I was slightly worrying.
He said the heartbeat sounded good. Which we knew since we have our own doppler at home and listen to it all the time. He said I'm bigger than others at 18 weeks (even though I'm all belly at this point) because I'm short. So because I'm short (yeah, yeah, get your wise cracks in now) the uterus has no where to go but out. haha. I personally thought I was really small for 18 weeks along, but guess not.
So the big day is April 9th. That's when we find out what this little bean is!! It's just the anatomy ultrasound, not a normal dr. appt. I CAN'T WAIT! It can't come fast enough. I'm glad we are able to do it before we go to New Jersey the following week. After we find out on the 9th, you'll be able to find me at Babies R Us or Target shopping up a strom. Then the next actual dr. appt. is April 23rd, when we come back from Jersey.
3 weeks and counting. Hope it goes by fast. But I figured if I've impatiently waited this long, what's another 3 weeks....
Till next time something worth while happens.
xoxo
P.S. Please vote in our blog poll to the right! What do you think we will be having? Poll closes on the 9th before our ultrasound appointment. Also become a follower of our blog! We sadly have no followers yet but I know you all read it!

Quick update at 17 weeks!
Haven't updated you guys in a while.
Last week I had the Quad Screening and CF testing done (all blood work). Testing for down syndrome, spina bifida, other disorders I'm sure, and Cystic Fibrosis. It was optional but we decided to do it. Just in case there would be something to worry about, we would like the time to mentally prepare for it before the baby gets here. But honestly I'm not worried. We're both young and healthy and no family history of anything like that. And the baby was measuring right on track when we had the last ultrasound done in the first trimester. So I'm sure it will be fine.
Next doctor appointment is next Friday (March 20th). It'll just be a routine appointment and I'm sure we'll hear the results of those blood tests. Then the next one after that we find out the gender...as long as his or her legs aren't crossed at the time! I want a girl, Tim wants a boy. But just as long as it's healthy I'm not really going to care either way. :)
We rented a heartbeat doppler from Stork Radio. We have it for 3 months. I love listening to it. Helps put my mind at ease. And it has a display on it that tells me the heart rate (so I don't have to count it myself). It's been around 150-160 bpm. We can even hook it up to the computer and record the heart beat and send it to people. We haven't done that yet but we will soon (if you want us to email it to you then leave me a comment on here and I'll get it to ya!). I don't think I can post a sound file on here...not sure.
I'll update again after the next doctor appointment next week. Hope all is well with everyone! Lets hope the spring weather sticks around a little better. This 70 degrees one day to 30 degrees the next day is no good!
